Q: How does DryView Laser Imaging Technology differ from other dry
film processing technologies?
The DryView Laser Imaging Technology features a single-sheet, direct imaging system. The DryView Laser Imaging film is a heat developed, continuous-tone photographic or light sensitive film also known as photothermographic. The Polaroid Helios laser imager is a half-tone imaging system that uses high-powered lasers to melt a polymer that enables the transfer of a carbon black from a donor sheet to a receptor. The Agfa DryStar uses a thermal print head to cause dye sublimation or transfer from donor sheets to a receptor sheet.
